Motor vehicle accident early Sunday morning

Around 5.30am on Sunday, June 11th, Pound Ridge Fire Department and Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps were called for a motor vehicle accident by Pound Ridge Road (172) and West Lane with the vehicle smoking.

Upon arrival, the vehicle had struck an electricity pole hard enough to crack it. There was no visible smoke and the driver had managed to get himself out via the trunk of his SUV with minor scratches. The driver was evaluated by PRVAC on the scene and released. NYSEG was called to the scene to replace the electricity pole.
