Sunday, October 11, 2009 -- Pound Ridge Volunteer Fire Department
The Pound Ridge Fire Department's Open House was a great success. There were many things that the townspeople could take part in. Activities included, the "Fire Safety Trailer" lent to us from Bedford Fire Department which taught people what to do in case of an emergency in their home, as well as department members provided the public the opportunity to try on our gear as pictured here with Department President and firefighter, Tom Darold. Also the Pound Ridge Police Department was on-hand to offer fingerprinting for families. Additionally, there was a station that allowed children to practice with a fire extinguisher. Much fun was had by all. Even Sparky made an appearance.
