Pound Ridge Conducts a Controlled Burn

On April 4, 2015 the Pound Ridge Fire Department conducted a controlled burn of an acquired structure. Prior to the burn, the members were able to use the structure to conduct training for about a month. Members trained in engine company operations, search and rescue, truck company operations, forcible entry, ventilation and overhaul. Having the ability to train in vacant structures is an enormous training tool for our members and helps give us the most realistic training to help prepare us for future emergency situations. We'd thank to thank the Mitchells for donating the structure and all those involved in the training. Below is a video from the day of the burn. Enjoy.
