Over the past 48 hours the dedicated members of the Pound Ridge Volunteer Fire Department have answered seven alarms. Those alarms being Three Public Service calls, Two Activated Alarms with no issues being found, and Two Motor Vehicle Accidents, one requiring stabilization.

At 11:44am members responded to the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation entrance for a Motor Vehicle Accident, incoming police units updated the location to be near the entrance, in the South Salem Fire District. Rescue 22 continued into the scene to assist South Salem Members. Upon arrival, units found one car on an embankment. Members from both South Salem and Pound Ridge worked quickly to secure the vehicle utilizing cribbing and a Paratech Strut. Units where on scene for approximately 45 minutes and providing a safe working environment and awaiting a tow truck to remove the vehicles. We would like to remind drivers to be more vigilant when traveling during poor conditions.
