Members secured the vehicle and assisted while the vehicle was removed. 12 hours later Tanker 3 was requested to @port_chester_fire to assist with water supply at a 3+ alarm fire that many departments throughout Westchester county were called in to battle. While Tanker 3 and C2403 operated in Port Chester your dedicated volunteers handled a commercial alarm in Pound Ridge and set up for our drill night. Members returned from Port Chester and proceeded to partake in a high angle rescue drill. Members hiked in to a remote area, used a stokes basket, multiple rope systems, and U189 to remove our simulated victim after they sustained a long fall from a cliff edge. While training members were alerted to a MVA with injuries and wires down. This accident caused a brush fire and a large area power outage. Your dedicated volunteers once again stepped up and used their training to preserve life and property! If any of this sounded like you want to give it a try, submit an application via our website and come join a great group of dedicated volunteers that continue to answer the call no matter what or when!
