Last night, 9/11, at approximately 19:50, Pound Ridge Fire was dispatched to the Pound Ridge Reservation to assist PRPD and the Westchester County Police Department in locating a lost hiker on a trail in the area of Michigan Road |

Shortly after arriving at the staging area at the end of Michigan Road, Utility-189 and 2401, along with County Police UTVs, entered nearby trails attempting to locate the hiker, while the County Police helicopter provided support from above, unable to find the lost hiker PRFD requested Westchester County Department of Emergency Services with Field Communications and the Technical Rescue Team, and Bedford Police Department, New York with additional UTVs. With the support of all agencies involved, larger search parties were formed. At approximately 00:10, the lost hiker was located and transported back to the staging area. and was in the care of Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps and 45M3 and was confirmed to be in good health. All Pound Ridge and mutual aid agencies went back into service at 01:11 9/12 Pound Ridge Units- 2401, 2402, 2403, 2407, Rescue-22, Utility-189 |
