| Pound Ridge responded with a tanker and full crew to the scene, and an engine and full crew to initially standby at the Vista firehouse. While both units were en route, the fire was upgraded to a second alarm, and a Mayday was transmitted by a firefighter from another department operating inside the structure. While en-route our engine diverted directly to the scene behind the Tanker. The firefighter was safely located and extricated from the building. Upon arrival, crews from both of the Pound Ridge units went to work alongside neighboring departments, crews to assist with fire suppression, search activities. Additionally, upon arrival Pound Ridge’s Chief Car 2401 assumed water operations command. All Pound Ridge units remained on scene assisting with overhaul until released from the scene just before 11:00 PM. |
